Information We Collect

When you use ResumeAtlas, we collect information you provide directly, such as your resume content, job descriptions, and account details when you sign in with Google. We use this to provide ATS scoring, optimization, and related services.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to analyze resumes against job descriptions, provide improvement suggestions, process payments, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Anonymous Research Statistics

To publish research about resumes and job postings (for example, how long real resumes are or which skills postings ask for), our tools keep an anonymous, content-free record of each run. That record holds only numbers, yes/no flags, and categories from fixed lists: things like a page count, a word count, a score, how many skills were listed, which standard section headings were found, a role category such as “data analyst”, and the country the request came from. It never holds your resume text, your name, contact details, employers, or job titles as you wrote them, and it is not linked to any account. Tools that run entirely in your browser (the ATS checker and the keyword scanner) send only this summary; the file itself never leaves your device.

Job descriptions you paste are public postings rather than personal data. We keep them, with any recruiter contact details removed, so that research questions can be answered from the same set later. Research is always published in aggregate — never a single posting, resume, or company.

Data Security

We store data securely and use industry-standard practices. Resume and job description content is processed to deliver our services and is retained only as necessary for your account and support.

Chrome Extension

The ResumeAtlas Chrome extension (JD Match & Tailor) sends the same kind of data described above — your resume text, the job description text, and your account's Google sign-in details — to ResumeAtlas's own servers to run the analysis or tailoring you request. It never sends this data to the job board you're viewing, and it never uses it to train third-party AI models.

On job board pages (LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and Ashby), the extension reads the job posting's text only when you click its own "grab job description" or "grab job title" controls, or reads text you've manually selected on the page — it does not read any other page content, and it does not track your browsing history.

The extension stores your resume text, in-progress analysis state, and your signed-in session locally in your browser (via chrome.storage.local) so your work isn't lost when you close and reopen it; this local data is not accessible to us or to any website. Signing in uses Google OAuth; we receive your email address and basic profile information to associate your analyses and purchased credits with your account. Payment is processed by Razorpay on a resumeatlas.io web page — the extension itself never handles your card details.
